Things we do that make us laugh - Life's just so simple
28 Oct 2013Me being me, with all the crazy ideas suggested to play Tandem story with boyfriend. He, being him, always game for any ridiculous suggestions, gladly agreed !!!!Tandem means one following another, one after another story. I start off with one paragraph, he continues with another and I'll continue again and he continues (on and on) till end of story.THE BEGINNING:Me: It was another groomy humid afternoon, as Barbie sipped her coffee at her office desk, she thought. 'It'll be great, if Ken can whisked me off to some beach resort now" she ponders in her mind....Him: Just as she pondered, she saw a flying elephant smiling at her just outside her office window!Me: Turned out that flying elephant is actually a space vessel. She hopped on and flew off to the spaceHim: Just as she flew away to the space, Ken happily entered the office to look for her.... she's not around. He sadly looked at the envelope in his hand... And thought to himselfMe: "Wish I can show Barbie this right now" Ken wept, burnt the envelope and jumped out of the office window.Him: He thought he will fall flat from the 23-storeys high, but suddenly, he stayed afloat midair... All out of sudden, the pink underwear that he is wearing appeared on the outside of his pants! "Am I related to superman!???"Me: Little did he realised, the burnt envelope, actually contained a magical potion, which was activated by heat, worked its magic on Ken, turning him into a pink fairy with fluffy wings and pink underwear. The only way to get him out of this magic is to find smart and beautiful Barbie.Him: Not knowing that the beautiful and smart Barbie can turn him back to normal self, Ken kinda enjoyed how he looked now! He's enjoying his new pinky magical self and decides to call himself, Wings! And off he flew, to find the nearest lingerie shop....Me: While Ken was fascinated with his new pinky identity, he was still unable to control his magic power. While flying towards the shop, Ken couldn't stop in time and knocked his head against the signboard of the lingerie shop and injured himself badly. At the last moment of death, he thought to himself : "I should have gone to look for smart and beautiful Barbie" Regrets engulfed him and Ken laid motionless with pink underwear outside a busy lingerie shop.THE ENDI ended it without giving him a chance to continue.. Hahahaha what crazy imaginations we have here !!! We are kinda of good match for one another cos we love to do crazy stuff together and laugh it off thereafter !Life can be so simple and silly at timesLove him So much

Ageing graciously and growing up purposefully
Ageing Graciously
Our seniors have helped build Singapore, and we must be grateful to them. We hope to connect closely with them and help them to lead healthy, socially connected, and happy lives. The team aims to use Zumba Gold fitness to spread the message to everyone that elderly can aged gracefully, healthily and actively.
We are glad that we have managed to run regularly Zumba Gold activities at senior activity centres in Singapore and they are very much well received.
Growing Up Purposefully
Yesterday, some of our team members were certified to become Zumba Kids/ Kids Junior instructors. I am proud to share that we will be also spreading our Zumba love to kids as well, to develop them from young to be active and healthy. Most probably in the special
needs sectors as well
Many of our youngsters are spending much of their time on electronics gagdets and computer games, we hope we can use Zumba program to also attract them to socialise and interact with fellow friends and get them MOVIN' away from the computer games and addiction .

Cambodia - Phnom Penh 12 - 15 October 2013
Will be heading to Cambodia tomorrow. I have been to Cambodia a couple of times, and almost all of them are for volunteer purposes.
Cambodia’s long history of violence and conflict, both internally and externally has contributed to the current poverty situation. Most notably in Cambodia’s troubled history was the Khmer Rouge regime and a period of occupation under Vietnam’s communist leaders from 1980 to 1989. As such, it was not until recently did the political situation in Cambodia settled down. Since then, its economy has been growing from strength to strength, driven by the expansion in the garment, construction, tourism and agricultural sector. The last I checked, 31 % of the population in Cambodia living in poverty which means they are earning less than US$1 per day.
The rural citizens are the people who have the least access to education, health and other public services because of poor infrastructures and lack of government investment in areas where it matters most
But the people there are welcoming and they are happy to see us. Guess there have been numerous assistance and volunteers from all over the world came to help the unfortunate and needy in Cambodia. Well, i am sure to post some pictures and updates.
This time, we have a bigger group of volunteers and I am looking forward to a hellava fun with the children in Cambodia !!!!
See you !

Thoughts of the day - 2 Oct 2013
Today, I went to travelers' health and vaccination clinic to get myself vaccinated against influenza, typhoid and hepatitis A in preparation for my upcoming Cambodia trip.
It's a self-funded volunteering trip with a group of volunteers where we make a yearly trip to Cambodia to work with underprivileged kids, and to distribute essential donated items such as clothes, shoes, books, school bags, stationery etc to the kids in Cambodia.
Will definitely post and share pictures about the trip.. We know pictures tell a thousand words
So do stay tuned.
